What Are Ways to Make a Living Online?

There are many ways to make a living online. Many companies will hire you to work from home. The high tech market has a lot of programming and IT jobs that you can do from home. Another type of job that is common is customer service. With broadband and a computer in almost every home, companies have found ways to cut the budget by hiring work at home people.

The problem? The salaries aren’t always that great and you’re still tied to a desk. If you’re looking for customer service then you can’t have lawnmowers cutting grass in the background or dogs barking. A huge no no is having kids making noise in the same area. These companies want their customers to believe that you are sitting in their office working with them an not at home. Plus, it is pretty unprofessional having your child come up to your place of business and say hi to an upset customer who is trying to get a refund.

If you are working from home in a job that pays well while your kids are at school then you’re pretty lucky. I tried a few jobs and it just wasn’t working out because the kids would get home from school and always want something even though they knew they were not supposed to interrupt. It happens no matter how trained your kids are, they will interrupt. There are also people who think that since you are working from home that you are available for them to call or disturb frequently. They don’t understand that you are working a job that requires you to be near the phone and the computer at all times.

If this situation is you then affiliate marketing is probably a better idea. With affiliate marketing you can set it and forget it. One of my favorite commercials of past time was the Ronco Machine where you can “set it and forget it” kind of like a crock-pot or his Rotisserie machine. That is what we want for finding ways to make a living online while at working from home. You can either work for someone else being tied to a desk and hours, or you can set your own hours and enjoy doing whatever you want to do during the day. The choice is up to you!
